About Me

I received a grant to attend a three week workshop on physics modeling in New York City.  The focus of the workshop was mechanics. From day one, I was hooked.  This is exactly the type of teaching I was interested in doing, I just didn't know it had a name.  This will be my first year teaching physics using the modeling method and I am very excited about it.  This blog will be my way to share my experiences and resources.  I posted some links to the right that are very helpful.  The tracker software can be accessed there as well as Kelly O'Shea's blog and Schober's physics page.  The Schober page shows a possible timeline and has links to many of the curriculum materials for modeling.  I can't wait to get started!  If you have any comments or questions, please let me know!
